Price Read-A-Thon a Success!
Thank you for participating in our Price Elementary Read-A-Thon! The event was a HUGE success, raising over $5,500 for our school! This money will be used for a variety of student incentives (i.e. offsetting the cost of school t-shirts, incentives for positive behavior and academic achievements, updating the hallways with special murals and/or signs, etc.). Students who raised $25 have all been invited to eat lunch in their classroom and watch a video with their classmates. Students who raised $50 will enjoy a pizza party with the principals for lunch this Thursday. Any student who met his/her reading goal will be invited to the Principal's Challenge Assembly on Friday at 2:30 where Mr. Brown and Mrs. Ipock will be turned into HUMAN ICE CREAM SUNDAES! The top reader from every class will participate in the assembly by dumping ice cream and delicious toppings all over them! It's going to be a blast!
Building School Improvement Plan
At Price Elementary, our focus is to set goals for improvement, take action towards those goals, analyze incoming data to determine if we are meeting our goals, and then continue in a cycle of setting new goals. Our goals for improvement this year center around literacy, numeracy, and attendance. Information regarding our Building School Improvement Plan (BSIP) can be found on our school data wall, and also in the documents below.

Please encourage and support your child by doing the following:
Þ Provide a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast each day.
Þ Send a quick note of encouragement to your child for each day of testing. You may send these in daily, weekly, or all at once!
Þ Please make sure your child is present on testing dates and is not late to school on those days. Studies have shown that children do best on tests when they can test in their regular classroom setting, rather than during a make-up period.
Þ Help your child remember to bring in reading books or other quiet activities to use when they have finished their tests.
Þ Encourage them to do their very best on these important tests, but not to “stress out”. Show them that you think the tests are important.
